New Ads on Public Safety and Fiscal Responsibility Launched by Ald. Knudsen
Chicago — With one week to Election Day, Alderman Timmy Knudsen is releasing a new set of campaign ads that focus on his early actions to improve public safety and advance fiscal responsibility.
While his $750K self-funded opponent is blanketing the entire Chicago metro area with broadcast and cable TV ads, Ald. Knudsen’s messages are targeted to 43rd Ward voters.
IMPROVING PUBLIC SAFETY
In “Illegal Guns,” Ald. Knudsen details the ordinance he co-sponsored that allows the city to prosecute gun offenses — regardless of what happens in the Cook County court system. The alderman has also sponsored laws to improve safety on the CTA and protect first responders.
In “Officers,” Ald. Knudsen shares how he has built strong relationships with CPD Commanders and Officers serving the ward, which ensures residents’ needs and concerns are addressed quickly.
ADVANCING FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY
In “Balancing Budgets,” Ald. Knudsen refers to his experience working with entrepreneurs to grow their businesses in how he’s bringing a fiscally responsible approach to City Council. The balanced city budget that he helped negotiate and voted for funds critical services like public safety and makes a $242 million advance pension payment — all without raising property taxes.
In “Homeowners,” Ald. Knudsen reaffirms his commitment to maintaining affordability for 43rd Ward residents, which he has followed through on by helping block several property tax increases.
EARLY VOTING REMINDER
On a lighter note, Ald. Knudsen’s nieces joined him to encourage residents to vote early at Lincoln Park Library at 1150 W Fullerton Ave. He was the first candidate to greet voters last Monday as the 43rd Ward early voting location opened to the public.
