Government Reform Expert Dick Simpson Endorses Ald. Knudsen
Simpson Touts Knudsen’s “Sound Leadership, Independence and Steadfast Support for Good Governance”
Chicago — Government reform expert and former alderman Dick Simpson has endorsed Alderman Timmy Knudsen in the 43rd Ward race.
Simpson has a distinguished academic career with public service in government, serving as 44th Ward Alderman from 1971 to 1979 and teaching political science at the University of Illinois at Chicago for more than 50 years. He has established himself as an authority on political matters of all kinds, from corruption and voting patterns to budgeting and civic engagement.
“Timmy Knudsen has shown throughout his career that he is a thoughtful leader who will outwork anyone,” said Dick Simpson. “His sound leadership, independence and steadfast support for good governance make him abundantly qualified to continue serving as alderman. With support from reformers like myself and my predecessor Ald. Singer as well as the newer generation of leaders like Reps. Croke and Williams, Knudsen has built a broad coalition of support that makes him stand apart. I'm proud to endorse him for 43rd Ward Alderman.”
