State Sen. Sara Feigenholtz Endorses Ald. Knudsen
Chicago — State Senator Sara Feigenholtz is making the first endorsement of the 43rd Ward Alderman runoff campaign. She’s backing Ald. Timmy Knudsen.
Sen. Feigenholtz chairs the Financial Institutions committee and serves as vice-chair of the Appropriations committee. Before joining the Illinois Senate in January of 2020, Feigenholtz represented the 12th District in the House of Representatives since 1995. Her work on health care access, AIDS funding, mental health equity, environmental protection, and modernization of the hospitality industry has earned her a statewide reputation as an effective and energetic leader.
“In his first five months in office, I've seen how Ald. Knudsen works hard, partners with community members and advances neighbors' priorities,” said State Senator Sara Feigenholtz. “We have worked together on several projects — like improving traffic safety along Lake Shore Drive in the Gold Coast — and I have been impressed with his responsiveness and can-do attitude. He is someone who listens intently and acts quickly to get things done for his ward. I'm proud to endorse Ald. Knudsen in the 43rd Ward race because he's the only candidate that has worked across the whole ward to better our community.”
“I have looked up to Senator Feigenholtz for fighting for what’s right and delivering for her constituents, and I am honored to have her support in this race,” said Alderman Timmy Knudsen. “We have already partnered to bring city and state resources to the residents we represent. Both of our offices have invested heavily in strategically-placed security cameras and license plate readers to keep our community safe. We will continue working closely together to make the neighborhoods we represent safer and more vibrant.”
Sen. Feigenholtz joins a growing and diverse coalition of support behind Knudsen’s campaign for 43rd Ward Alderman. The full list can be found here: https://www.knudsenfor43.com/endorsements.
